-According to the results of a study conducted at this center, the main concern of patients diagnosed with genital warts is "life stress" in the "context of stigma and ignorance." The aim of this research, conducted using a grounded theory approach, was to explain the adaptation process of these patients, where "the effort to maintain resilience in the absence of psychological security" was identified as the core theory. Furthermore, "social stigma and being overlooked" were recognized as contextual factors, while "contradiction in support" was introduced as a mediating factor in the adaptation of these patients. In response to these concerns, patients utilized "emotional confrontation" and "maintenance of resilience," resulting in a "oscillation between stress and comfort." Addressing the worries of patients with human papillomavirus and the conditions affecting their adaptation may lead to early interventions, such as counseling to reduce the psychological and sexual burden of the HPV diagnosis, which could improve patients' adaptation and prevent related harm.
