Memorandum of Understanding for Expanding Cooperation Between the Community-Based Psychiatric Care Research Center and the Neuroscience Department of the School of New Medical Sciences, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in October 2019 between the Community-Based Psychiatric Care Research Center and the Neuroscience Department of the School of New Medical Sciences, Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, to establish and expand scientific, educational, and research cooperation.
The signing session of this MoU took place at the Community-Based Psychiatric Care Research Center, located at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, with the presence of Dr. Maryam Shaygan, the President of the Research Center, Dr. Azita Jabari, the Research Vice-President of the Research Center, and Dr. Mohammad Nami, the Research Vice-President of the School of New Medical Sciences. The text of the MoU was signed by Dr. Maryam Shaygan and Dr. Mohammad Nami.
In this session, Dr. Maryam Shaygan stated that the MoU includes mutual scientific, educational, and research collaboration within the scope of the capabilities and resources of both centers, with the aim of creating stronger and more effective communication between them at the national level.
Dr. Mohammad Nami added that all collaborations on agreed-upon topics would be carried out within the framework of the signed agreement and in line with achieving the goals of the MoU.
He further mentioned that the goals of the MoU are aligned with the growth, expansion, and enhancement of scientific-research development and joint cooperation between the two scientific centers for knowledge production.
Dr. Azita Jabari expressed hope for cooperation in shared areas based on the priorities of both centers.
The educational goals of the MoU include collaboration in organizing training courses, workshops, conferences, symposia, and scientific-research meetings. Additionally, in terms of research goals, the MoU facilitates cooperation and communication between specialists and faculty members of both centers for conducting joint research projects, utilizing each other's research-educational facilities for Master's and Ph.D. thesis research, and benefiting from the combined resources in scientific, educational, research, workshop, laboratory, library, and international collaboration.
It is hoped that this MoU will optimize the use of the capacities, capabilities, and facilities of both parties, facilitating the exchange and dissemination of experiences and findings in relevant fields, and promoting the definition and execution of joint projects for the production of scientific, educational, and research content.
