In order to enhance the capabilities of interested faculty members and researchers, a webinar on research activities in the field of industry relations was organized by the Community-Based Psychiatric Care Research Center. The webinar took place on Sunday, February 6th, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, with a lecture by Dr. Mehdi Jahangiri, Head of the Industry Relations Office at Shiraz University of Medical Sciences.

The webinar began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Then, the executive secretary of the webinar, Dr. Azita Jabari, provided an introductory explanation. She mentioned that industry relations activities have been a focus of national and ministerial attention in recent years and have garnered significant interest from researchers. Educational, advisory, research, and service activities are among the areas where faculty members can engage in contracts with public and private organizations outside of the medical sciences sector. Since this area is less recognized among nursing and midwifery faculty members, the webinar aims to serve as a starting point for conducting such research and providing guidance for those interested in this field.

The webinar continued with a presentation by Dr. Jahangiri, where he discussed key topics such as the importance and benefits of industry relations activities, examples of industry relations, access to related websites like the Sata and Sa'at systems, as well as relevant regulations and research grants related to industry relations. At the end of the webinar, participants' questions were addressed.
